Pension and Benefits Administration System (PABAS)

The United Church is making considerable changes to how we manage pension and benefits. We are implementing a new technology platform to modernize our operations.

The new Pension and Benefits Administration System (PABAS)’s Member Portal, will include enhanced online tools and clearer, more timely communications for members!

The PABAS Member Portal is open now through May 15, 2026, allowing you to enter:

  • Pension beneficiary(ies), and
  • Life insurance beneficiary(ies) (for benefits eligible members)

To access the Member Portal, please click here.

The Benefits Centre mailed a letter on Friday April 24, 2026 regarding the PABAS Member Portal to plan members who have life insurance coverage, or have a pension benefit payable upon death. This includes active employees, retirees, and former employees who meet these criteria. To access an electronic copy, please click here.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Member Portal.

Where can I find my employee number?

Your employee number is located on the back of your GreenShield card.

Is my information secure, and is data stored in Canada?

Yes. Data is hosted in Canada and protected with two-factor authentication (2FA), challenge questions, and system alerts. Please protect your password and 2FA device.

Why do I need to designate electronic beneficiaries when I already sent in a paper form?

To keep your information current, all members need to re‑designate beneficiaries in the Member Portal. The electronic designation keeps your records accurate, is legally valid, and is easier to update—no paper forms required.

Who can I contact if I have any questions?

Contact the Benefits Centre at 1-855-647-8222 or pabas-go-live@united-church.ca
